Macarthur Coal to Resume Shipments From Abbot Point

28 June 2007

Coal supplier Macarthur Coal has announced it is to restart shipments from the Abbot Point Coal Terminal from Queensland in Australia, as of next month.

The company plans to export 560,000 metric tonnes of coal from its Coppabella and Moorvale mines through Abbot Point by March next year.

The company say the exports will also supplement shipments from the Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal which have been cut back due to congestion at the port.
