New modular concept Scando 650 hoist from Alimak, offering improved perfor-mance, durability and lifting capacity with lower energy consumption and reduced cost of ownership, will be exhibited for the first time in North America at ConExpo.

The ‘top-of-the-range’ 3-ton FC version, available for the recently introduced modular concept Scando 650 from Alimak, will be exhibited for the first time at ConExpo, Las Ve-gas, March 15-19 on Stand No. G-166.

The all new fully modular Scando 650 hoist offers complete flexibility with a large number of configurations offering, for example, different doors/gates, drive units (2 motor DOL and 2 or 3 motor FC), speed and payload capacity, etc. to suit virtually any customer application ; using relatively few modules and components.

Available in single or twin car configurations, the Scando 650 offers payloads of 1600 to 3000 kg/car and has a standard maximum lifting height of 400 m, which can be increased request.

Two or three FC frequency control or DOL motors drive the system through a high efficiency gearbox. The Scando 650 operates at speeds of up to 65 m/min and pro-vides more hoist power, while using as much as 40% less power than previous Scando models.

The ‘top-of-the-range’ Scando 650 features a car length of 3.9m which can be extended up to 4.6m.
