Tyre Protector International manufactures a revolutionary tyre sealant that is entirely different from anything that you've seen previously. INTERNAL SEALANT FOR TUBELESS PNEUMATIC TYREOur tyre sealant can be used in any tubeless pneumatic tyre. It is usually installed through the valve stem after removal of the valve core. Rotation distributes the sealant evenly around the inner surface. When a puncture occurs, the air inside the tyre pushes the sealant into the wound instantly repairing the puncture from within by forming a pliable rubber plug. The sealant contains millions of microscopic fibres, natural rubber particles, special adhesives and rust and corrosion inhibitors. All of the chemical components are used within the food industry and it is totally non-toxic and biodegradable. After use, the sealant can be washed away with a hosepipe or left inside the tyre to degrade naturally. In 2005 Oivind Bakke, the managing director of Continental Tyres in Norway stated "IT'S ASTONISHING" and Pop Macdonald from North Parkes mine in NSW Australia said "Its so bloody good it's embarrassing". OTR TYRE CRISISA recent article published in USA Today describes the acute shortage of OTR tyres. The situation is described as 'A Crisis' by Michelin in the Power Point presentation they released in 2004 urging operators to adopt better tyre husbandry practices. (Both of these articles are available in full from the Tyre Protector web site News pages) Several speakers at the mining convention in Perth held during February 2006 spoke about the dangers of working with EM tyres and the costs associated with punctures and ineffective tyre maintenance. Paul Butterworth is Tyre Protector's MD, a former International truck driver and road safety consultant while Colin Jones, who spent 12 years at the very heart of the tyre industry, is the company's technical director. Working together, they developed Tyre Protector in 2002 with the assistance of some of the leading chemists in the UK. Paul explains that Tyre Protector was developed because he and Colin were disappointed with the quality and performance of other sealant products. The company now does everything possible to distance itself from the competition and introduces Tyre Protector to people through word of mouth and practical demonstration. Our initial expectations were to produce 10,000L of sealant per month and we are now producing in excess of 200,000L a month. This is a direct result of the quality of the product. Our commitment to quality was recently recognised when Tyre Protector was awarded the prestigious ISO 9001 accreditation. REDUCING PUNCTURES AND EXTENDING TYRE LIFETyre Protector sealant may not be the answer to all of your tyre problems but it will definitely reduce the amount of punctures you experience and extend tyre life. It has been developed to withstand the extreme conditions and environments associated with mine production. Tyre Protector is currently being used in mines in Scandinavia, Mexico, Australia and Iran and everyone that we have worked with is delighted with the results and benefits so far. Although the sealant can be used in any tubeless tyre it is particularly beneficial in plant, construction and mining applications where punctures and vehicle downtime are hazardous and expensive. Some of the mines currently using Tyre Protector are shown below.
PROTECTION AGAINST UNDERINFLATIONUnderinflation is a major cause of blow outs and tyre wear. Underinflation generates excess heat (a tyre's biggest enemy). Underinflation is often the result of slow punctures or porosity leaks, air loss via microscopic pores in rubber that are only evident within the tread area. Tyre Protector reduces underinflation by eliminating air loss and extends tyre life span by maintaining constant air-pressure and enhancing fuel economy. ENVIRONMENTALLY SAFE AND WATER SOLUBLENon-hazardous, non-toxic and biodegradable, Tyre Protector is also completely soluble in water and can be easily washed away when needed. This enables commercial tyres to be reused by way of re-treading or re-mixing. For more information, please contact:
