OUTSIDE VERTICAL MOUNT WHEELS (OVM)

Available in 51in, 57in and ultra-class 63in sizes, the revolutionary OVM was the first vertical mount outer dual wheel ever designed and eliminates the need to remove wheel bases from hubs during tyre changes. The OVM is also the first wheel in the large earthmover class to feature HSLA (High Strength Low Alloy) steel, heavy duty fully machined bead-seat band and side rings and full machining on all surfaces of the wheel base to achieve maximum life, performance, air retention and safety efficiencies.

With non-OVM wheels, the four rear tyres on a CAT793 usually take four-and-a-half hours to replace. The introduction of the OVM has seen this reduced to less than two hours and a change out of all six tyres has seen a new industry benchmark of two hours 37 minutes. The OVM is proven to eliminate bead-seat wedging and significantly reduce tyre indexing.

SIX-PIECE VERTICAL MOUNT WHEELS (SVM)

Available in 51in, 57in and ultra-class 63in sizes, and designed to compliment the OVM in dual applications, the SVM wheel suits inside tyre positions. Utilising HSLA steel to maximise fatigue life, the SVM features a modified back section including an integrated lock-ring and o-ring groove to accommodate the addition of a second bead-seat band. This feature eliminates the dangerous practice of breaking the rear bead in confined spaces using hydraulic rams.

The combination of materials and manufacturing process for the OVM and SVM has dramatically increased the mining industry's longevity benchmark for heavy-duty truck rims.

XT SERIES 3000, 4000 AND 5000

Featuring heavy-duty rim bases with fully machined back and front sections and heavy-duty seat band and side rings, the XT Series has extended to a variety of designs available in numerous sizes for disc wheel and demountable applications.

OVM AND SVM RIM STANDS

Rim stands are supplied to suit OVM and SVM as well as conventional wheels. Designed to allow components to be seated in the tyres, ready for scheduled tyre changes, the rim stand is a rim base attached in a horizontal position to an elevated stand and secured to a workshop floor or tyre fitting area.

TITAN PRO-LIFE – WHEEL PROTECTION

Titan Pro-Life is a cost-effective environmentally safe corrosion inhibitor for in-service heavy machinery which has been specially formulated to protect steel wheels when added to the tyre air chamber and to provide puncture indication for tubeless tyres.

Titan Pro-Life contains no heavy metals, glycol or phosphates and eliminates the need for additional specialist coatings for rims and beads.
