Our latest products include an all in one electronic tread and pressure measurement tool specifically designed for off the road (OTR) tyres. Other products include RFID solutions for tracking and asset management of OTR tyre casings.

OTR tyre probe – electronic tread and pressure measurement

The OTR probe features automated and motorised tread depth measurement up to 130mm and pressure measurement up to 190psi. The rugged design includes a large area foot to span the wide tread of large off road tyres. As with the existing truck tyre probe, it will communicate via a Bluetooth serial connection to electronically send its measurements to PDA, PC or smartphone.

With optional extra's such as integrated UHF RFID reader and side wall temperature measurement, the OTR probe is the ultimate "all-in-one" tool for inspecting off road tyres.

Tyre RFID tagging and asset management

Pneu-Logic has developed and implemented a range of RFID tags, patches and low cost readers to suit every requirement for the unique identification of truck and OTR tyres. These technologies are now used by both OEMs and retreaders alike. The tags, fitted in the tyres' sidewall during original manufacture or bead to bead retread, are used to uniquely identify the tyre, whether during the manufacturing process or in operational use on a vehicle.

Retrofit RFID patches are fitted in exactly the same way as a repair patch and offer the same unique identification benefits as the OEM fitted tag. All tags and patches can undergo multiple retread processes and are for full casing life tracking.

Uniquely identified tyres are easier to manage because the serial number is electronically captured without the "line of sight" and adhesion problems associated with traditional bar coding. Allied to the comprehensive tyre management software solutions available from Pneu-Logic partners, RFID technology substantially reduces tyre theft and incorrect or inappropriate service work, and greatly improves the casing traceability during its complete life.
