The RL insert is a rubber insert designed for use in warehouses, steel mills, aluminium smelters, building sites, wharves and underground mining applications. The re-usable RL insert will bring extended tyre life, better traction and improved stability. The RL is a reusable rubber insert with internal honeycomb tubes of air running circumferentially within the RL to carry and cushion the load.

FLAT PROOF PROTECTION FOR MINING TYRES

The size of the holes relates to the RL's load capability and, once produced, will allow the tyre to run its full life at a constant simulated tyre pressure. The Marathon RL is the only product on the market that can offer you the flat proof protection in combination with a pneumatic ride characteristic.

The RL is a reusable rubber insert with internal honeycomb tubes of air running circumferentially within the RL to carry and cushion the load. The honeycomb design of the RL allows the tyre to flex and give cushion to the vehicle ride. At the same time the RL maximises the tyres footprint giving the vehicle better traction, stability and longer tyre life.

CUSTOMISED MINING TYRE LINERS

The RL is custom made to fit the specific tyre, by mapping the tyres internal periphery when fitted to a given rim width. The RL is engineered and designed to flex under load in the same manor as it would as an air filled tyre.

Once fitted, tyres can never suffer from a puncture, and they have the capacity to be worn out into the belts to gain maximum tyre life before the RL is removed from the worn tyre and then refitted into the new replacement tyre in order to run another life.

Unlike a pneumatic tyre fitment, the RL has no stored energy, therefore customers no longer have the concerns of cracked locking rings causing tyres to explode. If a pneumatic tyre were to explode with a cracked locking ring, the metal parts would easily kill anyone in the path of the projectile. With RL this danger is eliminated.

The amount of re-uses depends on the severity of operation, but unlike alternatives such as solids, resilient or polyurethane filled tyres.

Penetration, sever scuffing and cuts to the RL are fully repairable. This ensures the full life of the RL can be realised. The RL is constructed of a natural rubber compound, and being a non-toxic product, is fully recyclable.
