Mobile OTR tire service

Our technical team is run by Tom Stephenson, an OTR tire field expert with 25 years of experience. With our mobile service, we are able to visit each mine site around the world every one to two months to apply our knowledge and to ensure that our products continue to exceed expectations. We work together with your tire management team to offer solutions to prolong tire life and reduce tread wear - in short, to increase the bottom line. Finally, through our extensive follow-up reports and direct communication we will continue to provide suggestions even after our team has left the site.

Tires 360 LP

Colorado OTR LP has recently formed a sister company known as “Tires 360 LP”. Tires 360 LP has been assembled to provide customers with the tools they need to increase production and ultimately improve the bottom line. Tires 360 LP will be providing its mining customers with a full in-depth “Tire Awareness Program” which will be geared towards highlighting proper procedures and etiquette when dealing with the tires on site, and will involve personnel from the top down.

"Mining VBOX" - the foundation for the mine of tomorrow

Colorado OTR LP and Tires 360 LP are pleased to offer the revolutionary Mining VBox system to global end-users. Structurally, the VBox is relative to a “black box”. The module is simply secured to the truck and monitors all parameters from the cockpit via the attached GPS antenna. The antenna allows the user to achieve real time data collection as it relates to the specific truck at any given time.

More specifically, the VBox captures relevant data such as:

• Current / average speed
• Longitudinal / lateral / vertical acceleration
• Internal tire / ambient temperature
• Absolute and relative height – elevation
• Operational TKPH
• TMPS
• Live satellite feed of operations

Coupled with the data above, the VBox has the ability to record haul road design, measuring curve and slope. Furthermore, with the GPS antenna, the VBox can record truck routes and offer satellite pictures of the mine site to aid in operational efficiency and planning.

Overall the Mining VBox creates an added value for end-users through effective data retrieval that is specific to the current operation. Efficiency is created through reducing consumption of tires and components, optimization of production, reduction of idle time, and consistent data that allows for pro-active mine management. It also promotes environmental responsibility.

OTR tire delivery

Colorado OTR is capable of delivering OTR tires by container loads within seven to 30 workdays for most sizes available. Larger orders or contractual supplies can be delivered on a weekly or monthly basis to suit your specific tire needs. We are able to supply the tires as you need them cutting out the downtime and potential loss in production. We offer "door to door" shipping within the United States and will deliver to almost any port worldwide.

Research & development

American Tire Corporation is pleased to announce its project to build a Giant Radial Tire Plant in the USA. Construction is expected to be completed in 2008, with full production getting underway. Annual capacity will be 10,000 giant radial tires in 2008, expanding to 50,000 radial tires by the end of 2009. The new production facility will include manufacturing of 63in and 57in radial tires.
