OTR TYRES WITH HEAT CONTROL

The Coba tyre is specifically designed with the ability to disperse heat efficiently from the tyre, in order to provide the best possible potential of a high TKPH capability. In combination with the E-3 tread class, a low tread void ratio provides very high heat dissipation rates, important to the survival of a bias tyre in arduous mining conditions. This will allow the bias ply tyre to be introduced into a modern mining application with as little impact as possible on production.

The tread rubbers of Coba tyres are specially formulated silica compounds to reduce cutting and further control heat. The advantages of silica are well proven within the tyre industry.

ON-SITE TYRE ANALYSIS

Coba engineers perform on-site analysis to offer realistic recommendations. This allows management teams to make an informed decision as to the tyre’s application and the impact it may have on their production targets. Coba Tyre engineers can give the client site-specific parameters in which to work, by performing heat studies on the tyres and analysing haul profiles. All information gathered is then presented to the factory engineers and the research and development team to be analysed and stored for the future development of the product.

The open tread design of Coba tyres provides a high degree of traction in all but the most severe conditions. The improvements are provided by the open design tread pattern with lug platforms to tie the lugs together, aiding and improving traction and braking by 25%.
