Champion tyres is Australia's leading importer of premium quality Off The Road (OTR) tyres. Established relations with major Chinese manufacturers enable us to source the best quality, cost-effective tyres.

Our China office deals directly with manufacturers and supervises through to final delivery, providing certified inspection and progress reports as necessary. Champion tyres is Australia and New Zealand'S distributor of the extensive Solid Trac range of underground mining, port service and forklift OTR tyres, and the worldwide distributor of the Rock Guard range of tyre protection chains.

MINING, CONSTRUCTION AND INDUSTRIAL TYRES

Champion tyres' long association with Chinese OTR tyre manufacturers has enabled it to identify premium quality OTR tyres ranging in size from 25in to 57in rims. We supply only premium brands from long-established manufacturers such as Tianli, Torch and Triangle.

Tyres are supplied in 20ft and 40ft container loads with smaller quantities for trial purposes. We ensure that tyres are inspected prior to shipment from China and delivery times to Australian ports average eight to ten weeks from order. All tyres are covered by a 12-month manufacturer's warranty.

PREMIUM UNDERGROUND MINING FORKLIFT TYRES

Solid Trac tyres are designed for heavy-duty use in all applications - including underground mining, wharf/port handling, industrial and commercial fork lifting - and use a premium tread compound for maximum tyre life, durability and reliability.

Solid Trac tyres have reinforced sidewalls for improved protection against side impacts and the reinforced bead area protects the wheel flanges. Importantly, the tread overhang protects the tyre at its most vulnerable point, the intersection of tread and sidewall - the most commonly damaged area of tyres from collisions with tunnel walls, pallets, curbs, and other ground-level hazards.

Solid Trac tyres have an extra-wide tread for increased stability and traction, and a lug type tread pattern that provides optimal grip in every condition. The diagonal structure further ensures high stability and maximum safety.

The Solid Trac Rubber Co. was established in 1927, making it one of the earliest rubber processing enterprises in China, manufacturing tyres mainly for US firms Continental, GPX, SuperGrip, John Deere of Canada, and Komatsu. It has an annual output of 1.5 million tyres.

ROCK GUARD: TYRE PROTECTION CHAINS

The Rock Guard range of tyre protection chains is manufactured to the highest quality, matching the standards displayed by European products in a more cost-effective form.

Sharp rocks and slippery surfaces are a huge hazard to tyres, even when new, and we recognise that an unexpected tyre failure causes equipment downtime and lost productivity. The advantages of using the Rock Guard tyre protection chains include:

Extensive testing of Rock Guard chains in Australian mines has shown savings of over 40% in certain conditions. Rock Guard tyre protection chains are available for tyre sizes: 17.5-25, 26.5-25, 29.5-29, 35/65-33 and 45/65-45. Each chain comes individually boxed and includes a resize/repair kit.
