Tyre pressure monitoring system, TMS, has been integrated with additional technologies by Santiago-based Aditiva to develop UMAN.
UMAN is used by mine service company, Bailac, as part of its full on-site tyre maintenance and control service for the mining industry in Chile and other South American countries. TMS is at the heart of the integrated UMAN offering enabling Bailac to monitor each tyre on every large off-road truck within a mining complex. Each tyre is fitted with a battery-powered sensor which fits inside each tyre and transmits pressure and temperature data to the UMAN receiver on the vehicle and also to a hand held monitor.
AM Bromley predict that sales of the unique system will more than double within 12 months.
