The SmartDitch™ system is a high-density polyethylene (HDPE) channel / ditch-lining system that is ideal for drainage, erosion / sediment control, slope stabilisation and remediation, irrigation and other stormwater conveyance applications.

Compared to traditional ditch and channel lining methods, the SmartDitch system's thermoformed construction and flexible design make it long lasting, lightweight, less costly and easy to install.

Ditch-lining systems for the mining industry

Our SmartDitch system is available in a range of sizes, and a range of different features are offered.

The 12in depth trapezoidal SmartDitch system is for light to moderate irrigation and drainage applications, and can handle up to 38.90cfs, and 19.53fps at a 20% slope.

The 24in depth trapezoidal SmartDitch system is slightly larger and can handle up to 175cfs, and 28.2 fps at a 20% slope.

Our 24in semi-circular SmartDitch is a good fit for terraced drainage applications. This style of ditch can handle 25.91cfs, and 16.66fps at a 20% slope.

And finally, the MegaDitch SmartDitch is infinitely expandable. MegaDitch is an interlocking sheet-lining system that allows the contractor to build the channel's base and walls to virtually any width and height. This is the perfect rehabilitation solution for large irrigation and drainage canals.

Ditch-lining systems for rugged or steep terrain

One of the features that makes SmartDitch ideal for drainage, erosion control and irrigation projects is its weight. Each 8ft - 10ft section weighs less than 75 lbs, making installation easy.

SmartDitch is easily transported to the job site and can be handled with minimal equipment. Each SmartDitch section can be moved into place with one or two people, allowing for maneuverability in rugged or steep terrain. It is designed to utilise the surrounding soil for support, and is easily installed with supplied anchoring system and assembly hardware.
