Polyline Industries - POLYDUCT Ventilation, Fan Silencers and Underground Accessories

Polyline Industries manufacture an advanced range of robust moulded polyethylene products suited for application in the mining industry. Our range of polyethylene ventilation products and accessories is light weight (compared to steel), corrosion free, UV stable, durable, impact resistant, low maintenance and has a low friction coefficient (0.02).

MODULAR VENTILATION DUCTING

Polyline has developed a cost effective, modular ventilation system that will last the life of your mine.

In addition to our POLYDUCT range of ventilation ducting and fittings we also produce fan silencers, self regulating fan covers, intake cones, inlet and exhaust vasses, fan and bag adaptors and other polyethylene accessories for use in underground mining.

POLYDUCT VENTILATION DUCTING

Standard fittings of POLYDUCT ventilation ducting are available in diameters of 1,065mm, 1,200mm and 1,400mm. Custom sizes and transitions can be produced to meet any customer requirement.

Our range of POLYDUCT includes round and oblique ducting cylinders, T-pieces, Y-pieces, bends, branches and four-way sections. New to the range are completely moulded 90° and 45° bends, which provide better air flow in those tight areas.

OBLIQUE VENTILATION DUCTING

Our oblique range of POLYDUCT provides a slim line product that allows maximum air flow through drives where headroom is limited.

POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE PRESSURE SYSTEMS

Standard ducting is for positive pressure with hanging points fitted to ensure products are multi-directional. All ducting has a 'double-end' to easily connect ducting to vent bag with strapping.

Options include negative pressure applications, flanged ends or other compatible joining systems, adaptors/transitions and directional valves to control air flow.

POLYETHYLENE FAN SILENCERS

Polyethylene is an excellent material for the manufacture of fan silencers as it is non-corrosive, flexible and provides ready inbuilt noise absorption.

Polyline fan silencers are:

• Durable and impact resistant.
• Extremely light weight for easy installation/removal.
• The overall diameter of the fan assembly is not increased by the silencer, by using a high tech sound foam barrier, we are able to maintain an overall wall thickness of <50mm (compared to conventional type >120mm).
• Silencers can be bolted in-situ when mounting a fan in a restricted area such as a vent access wall.
• Low maintenance – our closed cell foam and protective coating is impervious to moisture and dust and as such are effectively self cleaning which maintains silencer efficiency over the life of the product.

SELF REGULATING FAN COVER

Self Regulating Fan Covers are a simple configuration that bolt to the fan flange and automatically opens or closes with air flow from the fan. Ideally located near a vent wall where back flow can be stopped when fan is not in operation.

INTAKE CONE

Intake Cones are manufactured in various diameters to meet customer requirements. Steel mesh can also be added to protect the fan at the intake source.

INLET AND EXHAUST VASSE

Inlet and Exhaust Vasse’s are manufactured from UV stable HDPE and a supplied in a modular flanged arrangement. As polyethylene is inert, they will not corrode or build up large deposits of salt as is quite often the problem with the steel alternative.

FAN AND BAG ADAPTORS

Light weight alternative to provide transitional pieces for either flanged fan silencers or vent bag.

VENT BAG PROTECTOR

Vent Bag Protectors are hard plastic sheeting that wraps around the outside of any vent bag to provide a protective barrier for the bag in areas where it may be prone to damage from external forces. (E.g. damage from trucks or loaders).

VENT WALL ADAPTOR

Polyethylene cylinders suitable to provide air flow through a vent wall. Made on request to suit customer needs.

FIRE RETARDANT ANTI STATIC DETONATOR BOXES

Polyline developed and manufactures a range of FRAS Detonator Boxes which have mines department approval in WA and QLD.

GROUT MIXING TANKS

Our standard 720mm diameter Grout Tank has a 300L mixing capacity. The polymer properties of polyethylene help reduce the bonding of grout to the tank surface making it very easy to clean even after the grout has set. Effective working life in excess of 3 years.
