QMW Industries is an Australian owned company, with branches in Brisbane, Queensland, and Perth, in Western Australia. ROPS AND FOPS CABIN AND CANOpy TESTING

QMW Industries use the latest computer drafting or CAD technology to assist us in developing our designs. Designing the canopy is critical, it must be engineered to crumple, or in the case of a ROPS / FOPS, bend. Australian and international ROPS standards prohibit the use of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to perform tests. This means that each new design must be subjected to destructive testing before it can be certified to the relevant standards.

QMW Industries have the facilities and capabilities to perform destructive testing on most makes and models of earthmoving and mining equipment from small loaders up to large dump trucks with a 350t capacity.

Another important design feature is the overall look when fitted to a particular machine, resale value can be adversely affected by a cheap imitation or poorly designed canopy. We take as much care as possible when designing our canopies, to ensure compliance to the code and to follow the natural lines of the machine so that the canopy does not look so intrusive, and can even enhance the unit's appearance.

DUMP TRUCK CABIN REFURBISHMENT

The mining industry can subject equipment to a range of harsh conditions. As a result dump trucks and in particular dump truck cabins are often damaged by way of either corrosion or impact/collision. This damage may compromise the structural integrity of the ROPS frame and as such, these cabins are rendered unusable.

QMW Industries recognise the considerable costs for genuine replacement cabins, and have implemented a program to refurbish and recertify the cabins back to their original condition

FAST CRANE SECTION REPAIR

QMW Industries have been successfully repairing and re-certifying damaged crane sections and entire cranes to Australian and ISO standards since 1985.

Genuine replacement sections are costly, and in most cases take months to be delivered from the original crane manufacturer. The benefits of repairing these damaged sections are that we can offer realistic repair costs and minimize the amount of downtime.

To guarantee that repairs are safe, QMW Industries have the ability to source original materials or those to the equivalent grade and specifications. We use only qualified welders to ensure that all repairs are performed to the highest quality and standards, additionally QMW Industries supply a written report for all repairs.
