Gryffin - Securing Australia

23 November 2008

For over 20 years, Gryffin has been providing Australian clients with solutions to their perimeter security problems. Gryffin’s experience from working in Australian prisons has provided it with an extremely good outlook on how to solve nearly any perimeter or fencing problem.

One of Gryffin’s major product ranges is high security welded mesh, which is used for many applications. The range includes Securifor 358 and Fortis 358. Each has a number of common features, as listed below. From Securifor 358 and Fortis 358, features come with many fantastic benefits:

  • Closely spaced wires form small apertures and apertures that are 76.2mm x 12.7mm, meaning the panels are difficult to climb and cut
  • Wire diameter of 4mm
  • Boasting weld strength of up to 75% shows the panels are both strong and rigid
  • Excellent visibility gives top security and benefits other components, such as CCTV in the perimeter security package
  • Extensive field testing, blast and firearms prove that Securifor and Fortis do what they claim to do
  • Manufacturer's warranty gives the client peace of mind, knowing that both Securifor and Fortis are backed up

The Fortis 358 has a definitive advantage with its extra vertical wires. This gives Fortis extra rigidity and strength and means it is even more difficult to cut than Securifor.

A second solution in Gryffin’s impressive high security product line up is Palisade and MaxiGuard. These products are widely used for perimeter security and like the Securifor and Fortis range, Palisade and MaxiGuard have a number of common features and benefits.

Palisade and MaxiGuard are:

  • All steel modular systems, which allows savings on freight to site
  • Modular, which allows the system to follow the contour of the ground ensuring security
  • Manufactured using heavy steel components, which give the systems great strength and rigidity. This strength means the systems are difficult to cut and climb
  • Manufactured to keep in with the British standard, providing the client with peace of mind regarding quality
  • Manufactured at any length up to 6m, providing variety of choices
  • Manufactured with no hollow sections meaning there is little to no maintenance required
  • Manufactured with a variety of tops to provide a psychological deterrent

All of Gryffin’s security systems are at the top of mark when it comes to perimeter security and when matched with Gryffin’s experience and expertise means Gryffin’s clients will receive unparallel solutions. From hard secure fencing to detection, Gryffin has it all to solve even the hardest perimeter problem.

Fortis 358 and Tigerail

Fortis 358 double wire security mesh has all the qualities of Securifor 358, small apertures making each panel difficult to cut and climb, incredible strength, amazing visibility and extra vertical wires for double the strength and rigidity. Tigerail is a new fence topping, ensuring the security of the top of the fence. Tigerail makes the panel even more difficult to climb.

Palisade

In the W profile with the triple point spear top. Used for high security and vulnerable areas. Palisade, with its rails always set 1800mm apart, means it is hard to get a hand hold, thereby ensuring difficulty in climbing.

Tigertape

Here with long barbs and in the concertina format. Tigertape provides great security at the top of a fence or structure. It is difficult to defeat because of its sharp barbs and spring-like tension. Tigertape is a psychological deterrent that most intruders won’t go near.

Fortis 358 and Tigertape

Used in combination, the Fortis gives excellent security, while the Tigertape provides a secure top making climbing over the fence extremely difficult.

Applications

Prisons, detention centres, embassies and high commissions, power stations and sub stations, railway stabling yards, airports, seaport wharves, and schools.
