RESPIRATORY PROTECTION

Tailor-made for you: our products provide you with protection against particles with sizes smaller than X μm. Dräger Safety's disposable respiratory filter devices are light, practical, and affordable. They can be easily donned and taken off. Depending on particle size or whether eye protection is necessary, Dräger Safety also provides half and full face masks options with filters.

In emergencies, an oxygen self-rescuer provides you with the right protection from oxygen deficiency and toxic gases. Because of their robustness and reliability, they are your constant companion while working underground.

PORTABLE GAS DETECTION

Gas detection instruments provide optical, audible and vibrating alarms to warn the user of oxygen deficiency (Ox), toxic (Tox) or explosive (Ex) gases. Small, robust and simple to use, Dräger Safety's gas measuring instruments have an easy to read display and full data logging capabilities for post-use analysis using a PC.

MINE RESCUE SYSTEMS

Users of the Dräger PSS® BG 4 closed-circuit breathing apparatus are supplied with breathing air for up to four hours so that they can operate even in atmospheres containing little oxygen and/or pollutants. The slight positive pressure in the breathing circuit protects the user against the ingress of containing pollutants into the closed breathing circuit.

The carbon dioxide contained in the exhaled air is bound by the CO2 absorber. At the same time, the breathing air is enriched with oxygen from the oxygen cylinder. Before the regenerated air is re-breathed, it streams through a breathing air cooler, thus making the Dräger PSS® BG 4 ideal for long-term use in toxic environments.

In emergencies, even the best devices aren't effective when they are used incorrectly. PSS® BG 4 CLOSED-CIRCUIT BREATHING APPARATUS

In one of the hardest work places in the world, the Oxyboks K 35 always protects the miner against life-threatening gases. The miner always wears his Oxyboks K 35 on his belt for immediate access in case of a mine fire or explosion. The simple design allows quick and easy donning.

The Oxyboks K 35 is carried all the time by the user and is intended for self-rescue, for example when working underground or in enclosed spaces. The apparatus can be constantly carried on the user's belt without noticeably impeding normal activities thanks to the ergonomic design of the carrying case. The fact that the apparatus is worn at the head means that users can move freely, even when narrow and low openings make an upright stance impossible.

MINE ESCAPE SYSTEMS

A new direction in mine self escape philosophy has led to the development of the latest Dräger quick fill system for underground coal mines. The system combines the Dräger PSS90 breathing apparatus and Dräger quick fill stations.

The CABA set, fitted with ChargeAir™ connection, enables personnel to quickly tap into large compressed air cylinders to refill their units without being exposed to irrespirable atmosphere. Its flexibility, ease of use and ability to facilitate communication makes it well-suited to the cause of emergency response, particularly as it provides a rapid, in-seam first response capability.
