Pit N Portal is a privately owned Australian company based in Perth, providing a wide rage of services to the mining and earthmoving industries. We specialise in underground machine overhauls, underground hire machines, underground hire equipment, underground mining equipment spares, and used / Caterpillar underground mining equipment.

With a particular focus on underground mining, Pit N Portal has gained a wealth of experience in underground production equipment including machinery, sales, rental, repairs and used parts.

Having a fully equipped 2,000m² workshop in Welshpool and a complete team of specialist tradesmen including fitters, auto electricians, boilermakers, machinists and motor trimmers, Pit N Portal produces quality mining equipment in house. Fully equipped field service vehicles and a large parts inventory serves as excellent support for our large rental fleet and used machinery sales.

MINING EQUIPMENT HIRE

Pit N Portal offers rental equipment for short or long term jobs with various rate structures to suit our clients' requirements.

All equipment is workshop tested prior to delivery and comprehensive support is provided by our own technicians, quality contractors or OEM service departments depending on where equipment is working.

CATERPILLAR UNDERGROUND MINING EQUIPMENT

Our comprehensive inventory of rebuilt rotable components means that in most cases we can have machines up and running quickly minimizing downtime and effect of production. We also have accounts with all Caterpillar dealers nationwide so we can procure new parts for Caterpillar undergraound mining equipment quickly when required. Generally we have machines working in all states of Australia and we have also provided rental equipment to international clients in New Guinea and New Zealand.

Our fleet is constantly growing and we will negotiate to purchase equipment specifically to suit clients' requirements.

COMPLETE MACHINE REBUILDS FOR MINING

We can offer a machine as good as new for a little over half the cost of a new one. That is the mind set behind Pit N Portal's comprehensive machine rebuilds. Be it for our own rental fleet, or for a potential new machine buyer who understands the cost effectiveness of resurrecting their redundant equipment, Pit N Portal has now completed many certified rebuilds, taking machines off the scrap heap and giving them a new lease of life.

USED ELPHINSTONE MINING EQUIPMENT

So far we have rebuilt a mixture of Elphinstone R2900, R1300 and R1700 loaders and Elphinstone AD40II trucks.

We can offer these machines rebuilt to order and offered as outright purchase, long term rentals or rent to buys. Also we can rebuild the clients own machines, lead times will vary depending on our workload. All rebuilds some with a 2,000 hour, six month warranty an on-site support on delivery.
