TUNNEL ENVIRONMENTAL MONITORING SYSTEM

Envirolink is a versatile tunnel environmental monitoring system that brings new levels of safety to tunnelling operations. Total flexibility is the keynote of the system, which allows any combination of sensors from a single channel to eight channels with alphanumeric channel identification and continuous display of all inputs.

Envirolink enables the complete tunnel environment to be monitored: gas sensors, flow sensors, pressure sensors, vibration monitoring, temperature devices, frequency inputs and digital sensors - with direct fingertip programming of input and output functions and full information display and data communications for mine-wide sensor collecting networks or local control and alarm monitoring.

The Envirolink tunnel monitoring system is compatible with RS232/485 communications and can be linked to leaky feeder systems incorporating radio / telephone communications. The Envirolink can be supplied as EEx ia I certified for hazardous areas.

TUNNEL ENVIRONMENTAL SENSOR STATION

The Enviro Sensorstation is a fixed environmental sensor station that simultaneously monitors the concentration of up to five different gases together with levels of ambient temperature, atmospheric pressure, ventilation air velocity or airborne dust contamination. Any monitoring combination of toxic or flammable gases can be user-configured and detected using advanced-technology sensing techniques:

• Infra red
• Electrochemical
• Catalytic combustion

The powerful processing capability provides intelligent characterisation of sensor response with exceptional accuracy over a wide variation of temperature and atmospheric pressure conditions and two thousand point data logging and trend display for each sensor. Datacomms output enables up to 32 Enviro Sensorstations to communicate on one databus.

The Enviro Sensorstation is robustly built for heavy-duty applications, dust and waterproof to IP66 protection standards.

I/O COMMAND AND CONTROL FOR TUNNEL SENSOR AND MONITORING SYSTEMS

Envirocom is an I/O command and control system with modular bus configuration for simple compilation of local monitoring and control systems or large scale distributed SCADA installations.

Envirocom has bus expandable I/O up to a possible maximum of almost 1,000 channels: analogue inputs, pulse / frequency inputs, switch inputs, output switching, analogue output control. Input signals and output drivers are user configurable by simple channel card insertion.
