Specialty bodies for off-highway articulated or rigid frame trucks

Phil engineered bodies maximize body size, minimize body weight and increase your payload and productivity. We've built hundreds of specialty body designs for hauling coal, flyash, overburden, rock, refuse, slag, taconite, ore, scrap steel, and for any make / model of off-highway articulated or rigid frame truck.

The Phil HiVol® body significantly exceeds the standard OEM body payload capacity to give you more production per hour without exceeding your truck's maximum gross vehicle weight (GVW).

Water tanks for heavy-duty mining vehicles

Our water tanks are built for safety, with extensive internal longitudinal, cross baffling and a unique flat-style top. All tanks are built using superior tank construction, from unique corrosion-resistant, high-strength steel with a nominal yield of 180,000psi and a corresponding nominal Brinell hardness of 450+.

Tanks also include rear-mounted spray heads, including horizontal sprays and optional vertical sprays. For added flexibility and easy maintenance, spray heads have infinitely variable flow settings, from normal to narrow.

With the Phil patented HiVol water tank, you can easily convert your haul truck into a water truck that can typically spray the entire width of your haul road in one pass. Our water tank provides maximum capacity and stability.

Phil engineers and builds water tanks for any make / model of off-highway truck to assist with dust suppression, fire protection, road construction, washdown and other applications. Designs are also available for insulated tanks used in cold weather climates and for ice road construction.

Rear-loading high capacity lowboy trailers for open-pit mines

Our revolutionary rear-loading Lowboy Trailer may very well change the landscape of how large open-pit mines operate in the future. Without the drawbacks of detachable gooseneck trailers, our design features quick loading and unloading in an extremely safe method with automatic locking and unlocking rear axles that swing out of the way.
