Geographe Enterprises provides both standard and customised wear components and geared products for mining, earthmoving, processing and drilling mobile equipment and fixed plant. Founded on 40 years of hands-on experience, the company is dedicated to manufacturing products that improve performance, generate cost efficiencies and extend the lifespan of machinery. With a network of distribution centres, Geographe’s extensive product range includes over 25,000 catalogued items. Geographe parts are produced locally and have been designed to withstand the harsh conditions of the Australian outback. Wear components for mobile and fixed plant, exploration equipment and gearboxesGeographe provides engineered solutions for mobile plant: surface mining and underground mining, exploration, fixed plant, consumables and gears. Geographe is endorsed to ISO9001 - 2008 (quality), AS/NZS4801 (safety) and AS/NZS ISO 14001 (environmental) accreditations. Geographe manufactures products that are made to fit most major brands of heavy machinery, including Atlas Copco, Caterpillar, Gardner Denver, Hitachi, Ingersoll Rand, Komatsu, Liebherr and Sandvik. Parts for mobile surface mining equipmentGeographe manufactures a range of parts to suit mobile surface equipment, including dozers, excavators, scrapers, raise drills, trucks, diggers, graders and loaders. Parts for mobile underground mining equipmentGeographe provides parts to suit mobile underground equipment such as long-hole drills, bolting drills, drifters, trucks, boggers and loaders. Excavator track pins and bushesExcavator track pins and bushes are renowned for sustaining particularly punishing loads and wear. After extensive research and development into optimizing service life, Geographe’s metallurgists have specified the correct material and heat treatment procedures to produce longer lasting, harder wearing pins and bushes for excavator tracks. Geographe manufactures a variety of track pins and bushes to suit a wide range of excavators including Hitachi, Liebherr, Komatsu and more. The pins are manufactured from high-strength alloy steel and are induction hardened, along with our bushes which are manufactured from high strength materials and case hardened. The result of this quality standard is two extremely tough components, optimising part life and ensuring reliability. Bogie pins for bulldozersGeographe’s bogie pins are enhanced to provide longer service life and most importantly do not leak. Each bogie pin is manufactured by Geographe as to ensure quality. The centre bushing and core pin are case hardened to a minimum hardness of 60HRc and the bore of the bush is molykoted to ensure a beneficial ‘running in’ period. In addition to these features, shafts are stepped to ensure that forces are contained within the pin during installation and not on the end welds. Duo-cone seals are also used, creating a reliable and lasting seal. Bogie minors are also available. Solid pin and bush kitsThe Geographe solid pin assembly kit is uniquely engineered to eliminate the problem of collet seizure, which normally creates difficulties in extracting standard pins. By decreasing the time taken on bucket changeovers, this design innovation significantly reduces maintenance costs and equipment downtime. The Geographe solid pin kit is proven to operate for up to 8,000 hours in hard rock mining applications without regular servicing, whereas standard oil-filled pins have a lifespan of only 600 – 800 hours depending on conditions. Rock bolt dolly bushesGeographe’s modified rock bolt dolly bushes suit most underground drill rigs or can be custom made, if required. All bushes are locally manufactured and hardened to 60+HRc, extending service life and ensuring quality and reliability. Our rock bolt dolly bushes feature a long-leading tapered edge to help guide the rod and bit through the centralizer and are also available in the earlier double taper style. For all your drilling requirements, Geographe has a wide range of drilling bushes in a variety of different sizes. Bushes are available in solids and splits to suit Sandvik and Atlas Drill rigs at very competitive prices. Mud excludersThe Geographe mud excluder is a guard for rear, dual wheels on dump trucks used for a range of mining conditions. It saves downtime by increasing the speed of wheel rim changeovers in muddy conditions. To solve problems experienced when fine dust, rocks, frequent rain and heat is mixed together, Geographe has custom-made a mud excluder wheel guard from various materials to suit conditions. It is designed to fit between the rear wheels of the truck and seal around each rim to protect the drive hub from being caked in dry mud or damaged by rocks. When the wheel rims require changing, the Geographe component slides off the hub, leaving it clean. The inner wheel can be easily removed and the Geographe component can be cleaned separately, without holding up other repairs.
