Versatile, multi-functional telescopic handlers

Dieci currently has well over 35 different models in its range of telescopic handlers. Dieci’s telescopic handlers are versatile and multi-functional machines.

The Dedalus 28.7 telescopic handler has been an innovation in the Australian market. It is a low profile machine (2m high x 2m wide) with a lifting capacity of 2,800kg to a lift height of 6.35m.

Telescopic handlers with hydrostatic drive

The Dedalus 28.7 is powered by an Iveco engine with a hydrostatic drive, ensuring smooth operation. The cabin has been designed with the comfort of the driver in mind.

Underground telescopic handlers

AWD Equipment Sales has recently supplied three new special purpose telescopic handlers to Xstrata Copper in Mount Isa, Australia. The three machines are working underground and performing various materials handling tasks in a mining environment.

The telescopic handlers were compliant with the current Australian standards and work cover requirements.

Risk-based telescopic handler extras and modifications

AWD Equipment Sales supplies Dieci telescopic handlers according to specific client requirements to ensure that they are durable and have undergone risk-based assessment.

For Xstrata, the three Dieci telescopic handlers were fitted with the necessary options and modifications to include Xstrata risk-assessed extras and stringent underground operating requirements. AWD personnel and Xstrata engineers worked through all of these needs during the assembly process at AWD's modern facility in Ingleburn, NSW, Australia.

Telescopic handlers with large lift capacities

One of the Dieci models supplied to Xstrata was the Zeus 33.11TA with a lift capacity of 3.3t and lift height of 10.6m. The other machine was a Dieci Samson 70.10TA, with a lift capacity of 7,000kg and a lift height of 9.5m. Development of the final build-up of the Dieci Samson with 7t capacity was a cooperative effort between Xstrata and AWD engineering staff.

Among other tasks, the Samson was to be the key machine in the maintenance of the mine underground ventilation system.

Working platform carriers

AWD also supplies Dieci working platform carriers, which are designed to transport materials. For Xstrata, AWD’s engineers designed and manufactured working platforms carriers to facilitate the maintenance of a ventilation system. The two separate carriers were set up to fit the Dieci Samson carriage hitch and were connected in the on-board Dieci safety overload system.
