MeVEA

Finnish based MeVEA took part in their first EU-Russian Innovation Forum which was held in Lappeenranta, Finland in May 2010.

As MeVEA originated from the Lappeenranta University of Technology, it was natural to sponsor and attend the event. The forum was a meeting point for Russian and Finnish innovation companies and several discussions took place in the auditorium. The forum had several distinguished guests such as Russian prime minister Vladimir Putin and Finnish prime minister Matti Vanhanen. Many influential businessmen and politicians from Russia and Finland gave respect to the Innovation Forum in order to enhance co-operation.

MeVEA had a stand where Finnish high-end technology of real-time simulation of dynamics was introduced. MeVEA's Training and R&D simulators received plenty of interest by attending participants and media. Both Russian and Finnish main TV channels filmed and broadcasted interviews of MeVEA.

All in all MeVEA were satisfied with the new contacts and relationships made during the three days as well as the positive publicity. MeVEA is definitely interested in the increasing co-operation between Russia and Finland. The large Russian market of mining and harbour industry combined to MeVEA's location near the boarder are factors which make co-operation very pleasant.

At the same time the first Joint International MultiBody System Dynamics Seminar (IMSD) was held at Lappeenranta University of Technology (where the core technical team of MeVEA originates). MeVEA provided a professional training simulator of a mining loader which was open for public use. Both IMSD and EU-Russian Innovation visitors were guided to try out the simulator which was equipped with a motion platform and three large screens and a multichannel sound system.

MeVEA simulation solutions are based on special know how on real-time simulation of dynamics, multitechnical systems and virtual engineering which ensures realistic movement and controlling of the machine. MeVEA provides simulators for operator training and machine building R&D.
