Prodin - Furnace Components

Prodin specialises in the manufacture of furnace components for the smelting industry. Our product range includes shells, water-cooled roofs, panels, off gas ducts, copper bustubes and busbars, power transmission and electrode column assemblies.

Regarded as experts in the field of medium to heavy engineering, we have been servicing the steel, non-ferrous, chrome and platinum industries for the past 13 years.

The company has established long-lasting relationships with a range of companies such as bhp Billiton, Xstrata, Hatch, Voest Alpine, Mannesman Demag, Anglo Platinum, Mittal, Amplats and Columbus Stainless. We encourage the development of long-term partnerships, where we are able to work together to enhance our supply according to the client's needs.

Prodin is privately owned by four shareholders who serve as company directors, and are actively involved in the day to day running of the business.

OUR STAFF

Our highly qualified staff is complemented by a sophisticated 20,000m2 shop. This covered facility in Wadeville, Johannesburg, features a workshop area that is entirely serviced by overhead cranes. Each crane can manage a maximum single lift of 50t.

All material processing is done in-house, including CNC profile cutting, bending and plate rolling up to 50mm thick. We undertake all plate work in carbon, stainless steel and aluminium.

Our shop is equipped with hydraulic plate rollers, a guillotine, a CNC Burney profile cutting machine, radial arm drill presses, sub-arc welding facilities, pipe rolling machines, iron workers, air hoists, and hydro / flow testing facilities.
