With the first contract in Latin America for the supply of series GHT 2500 filter presses, signed last 14 May, Diemme Filtration strengthens the sales achievements in Asia during 2010, thanks to the innovative design features of this model.

The American customer is an important private mining company that chose Diemme Filtration as partner for the development of an ambitious revival and expansion of one of the oldest mines in its portfolio.

The project provides the supply of the machinery in several stages, the first of which, for an amount of around €4m, will be delivered by the end of 2011.

Diemme filters will be employed for the dewatering and washing of tailings from a dynamic cyaniding process used to extract gold.

The GHT 2500 filter press, launched by DIEMME in 2010, is an overhead-beam machine specifically designed for mining industry applications that require very high performance. It is, in fact, the biggest filter press currently available on the market.

The success of this model re-pays the continuous engagement of DIEMME Filtration in research and development and the continuous improvement of its own solid-liquid separation technology, resulting in machines that are machines that are increasingly customised and dedicated to customers specific needs.
