Successful participation in European "Best LIFE-Environment" program
Allmineral also participated in the RECDEMO project which has been honored as one of the best 25 projects taking part in the so-called "Best LIVE- environment" program of the European Union. The project target: The complete utilization of the sand fraction from construction waste recycling. An EU jury also honored the engineering alternative of the proved alljig® jigging machines especially designed for RECDEMO by the Duisburg based company.
"We are very pleased about this honour since it shows again how efficient our technologies are in operation", Dr. Heribert Breuer allmineral's general manager explained. Breuer continued by saying that he now considered the work of his entire team as acknowledged. The Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung (Federal Institute of Materials Research and Testing) had jointly designed and realized RECDEMO with allmineral, Messrs. Deisl-Beton as well as the RWE Umwelt Mineralstoffrecycling GmbH / Remex Bauschuttrecycling (RWE Environment Mineral Substances Recycling GmbH / Remex Construction Waste Recycling).
Processing of concrete breaking sand fraction from construction waste by means of a wet process to achieve an adequate rock granulation for concrete production was the center of attention of this task. All recyclings accumulated during this procedure were also intended to be completely utilized.
alljig® technology was convincing
A special technology of the alljig® jigging machine which has already been many times in operation worldwide for more than 15 years and which was used for RECDEMO as specifically developed design has proven to be a key for a successful implementation of this task definition: Owing to an advanced technology and adaptability regarding all requirements for the gravel and sand sector but also for the recycling of construction waste or contaminated soils - which was of course especially important for the EU project - the alljig® technology is capable to contribute to a major improvement of product quality.
The alljig® jigging machine operates at throughput rates of 5 to 500 t/h for each machine unit and convinces in the gravel and sand sector when hazardous substances of organic origin are separated in the entire granulation range from 0.1 to 80 mm. The alljig® is sorting efficient substances with different density, i.e. the most diverse primary and secondary raw and waste materials. 250 alljig® jigging machines in 15 years are the best reference.
"Ecological progress in Europe mainly depends on a broad utilization of good ideas resulting from pioneering projects such as yours", Philip Owen of the European Commission wrote in his letter of congratulations to the Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung and added: "I am already looking forward to experience in the coming years how the innovative environmental technologies which you have developed will be applied in all over Europe."
