BASF Construction Chemicals, one of the world’s leading suppliers of technical solutions for tunnel boring machines (TBMs) in underground construction, has launched new MEYCO® TSG 26. TSG 26 is a specially developed tail sealant with low-ecological impact designed for open mode earth pressure balance (EPB) and hard rock TBMs.
In contrast to currently used tail sealant greases, TSG 26 is 100% oil free, contains mainly natural products and is completely inflammable. To add to its sustainability, a new ecological packaging will be used.
Together with MEYCO® TSG 6, TSG 26 rounds up the portfolio of BASF specialty chemicals for tunnel boring machines:
- MEYCO® SLF and RHEOSOIL® soil conditioning agents and polymers
- MEYCO® ABR anti-dust and anti-abrasion agents
- MEYCO® BSG bearing sealing greases
- MEYCO® EPB bearing lubrication greases
- MEYCO® GA admixtures for annulus grouts
In addition, BASF Construction Chemicals’ offering to this market sector includes MEYCO® MP injection products and RHEOCEM® micro-cements, as well as concrete admixtures for segmental lining.
