Propsetter - yielding roof control high performance at low cost

Strata's Propsetter™ System offers a safe, cost-effective replacement for four-point cribs and other conventional supports. Where standard posts buckle and snap as roof and floor converge, the Propsetter™ System is built to yield and stand strong -- with less material handling, less ventilation resistance, and quicker installation.

Rocprop mechanical roof support

Rocprop is a compact roof prop that offers active support using hydraulic pre-stressing. It provides superior performance at greater heights, unique pre-loading abilities, quick and easy installation and significant reduction in transportation costs and time. Rocprop is an active support, applying an upward force on the roof while it supports. It also has a controlled yielding ability to up to 30% of its initial height.

• Available for mining heights from 3ft to 20ft

Sand Prop - re-usable roof support system

Sand Prop is a re-usable roof support system that can be installed in minutes by a single person. Exposure time on longwall moves and longwall shield recovery is cut in half due to the speed of installation and the immediate support offered by the Sand Prop. The narrow diameter and steel construction reduces ventilation resistance and makes Sand Prop very useful in beltline entries and intake and return escape routes.

Link-N-Lock - crib replacement system

Link-N-Lock is a crib replacement system with interlocking timber blocks that stack in layers. This interlocking ability provides 100% contact between layers which maximizes timber efficiency and increases strength and stability. Link-N-Lock can be installed to heights greater than conventional cribbing systems.

• Extremely timber efficient using 50% less timber than a four-point crib
• Smaller, lighter and easier to handle than conventional crib blocks

Reinforced concrete ventilation seals

Reinforced Stratacrete Seals are a cost effective alternative to other 120psi seals with improved design features and ease of installation. The Reinforced StrataCrete Seal can be fully constructed in 4 to 6 shifts depending on mine dimensions. A high strength rebar lattice is constructed underground and coated with either a high-strength gunite or proprietary concrete mix called StrataCrete. StrataCrete can be pumped from remote locations underground or from the surface over distances up to 3,000ft.

StrataCrete plug seals

The StrataCrete Plug Seal is an MSHA approved, 120psi ventilation seal that is constructed with form walls and filled with concrete that is pumped from the surface. The Strata Plug Seal can be fully built in five to six shifts.

StrataCrete Plug Seals are designed for mine openings ranging from 2.5ft-16ft in height, and 16ft-40ft in width. Thickness of the seal depends on the height and width of the mine entry.

Stratacrete Plug Seals are ideal for areas with weaker, softer coal ribs as the increased coverage of the seal helps stabilize the ribs. They are best suited for areas with minimum convergence.
