Originally founded in 1972, Sovereign is a water sealing company specializing in the control of damp and water seepage. Sovereign's business and operations are based in Perth, Western Australia with collaborative partners in both South Africa and Singapore. This world class technology has been used successfully worldwide for the past 30 years. Sovereign's extensive research and development program in the 1970s resulted in the company lodging its first patents in 1974 for the protection of a damp proofing apparatus for impregnating constructional elements with the registered trade names Scem 66 and NOH20. NOH2O - IMPERMEABLE EMULSION GROUTNOH20 is a colloid and can be classified as an emulsion grout. It is a patented blend of non-solid rubber mixed with additives to promote flow and adhesion. Our modified grout is non-toxic, non-hazardous with fire retardant polymer additives. NOH20 will not crack or tear when normal construction or ground movement occurs. The emulsion has a specific gravity of 97 making it as liquid as water at time of injection, allowing us to pump it into all the natural fissures of a complex. NOH2O is stable until activated, either chemically or mechanically. It then coagulates to form a solid, flexible, impermeable rubber membrane. WATER SEALING ABOVE GROUND LEVELAbove ground level - water bearing cracks (entry and leak areas) are filled up with our special blend of rubber emulsions by injecting it under high pressure into the suspected area. On tiled surfaces, like pool decks, patios and slabs the application is completed without lifting any tiles. Badly worn and broken screed is also repaired by saturating it under pressure, with our liquid rubber emulsion, without any excavation. WATER SEALING BELOW GROUND LEVELBelow ground level - NOH20 has successfully sealed waste disposal sites, concrete roofs and slabs, pool decks, basements and cellars, underground parking garages, underground tunnels, dam walls, reservoirs, retaining walls, lift wells, subways, dewatering pits, grain silo's and pipes encased in concrete. We do not use surface applicators or excavate to gain access to the ground side of a structure. All repairs are completed by means of injecting N0H20 into the water bearing areas of the structure. The effect is comparable to applying a waterproof membrane to the soil side of the structure, without the need for excavation. NOH2O is rubber based and will not crack or tear when normal construction or ground movement takes place. MINING - WATER SEEPAGE CONTROLMining - we apply NOH20 by injecting it through strategically drilled holes into the water strata of the rock complex. The intersected water is then pushed back away from the leak and displaced with emulsion. This procedure can be manipulated as to best suit the conditions and required results. Underground water temperatures as high as 58°C have been experienced and sealed in the past and leaks with a flow rate of 3,000L per minute (50L per second) and pressures of 170bar successfully sealed. All scenarios can be chemically controlled with inhibitors and activators, the penetration of our emulsion can be over hundreds of metres in natural fissures. We provide fully equipped underground certified vehicles and teams of experienced staff with underground expertise. NOH2O has been successfully used in many underground environments including underground storage dams, curtain grouting, pre-grouting new developments, ventilation shafts and chambers, pilot holes, raised boreholes, ore passes, developing declines, shaft sinking operations, lined shafts and tunnels, abandoned workings and water plugs.
