Naue Fasertechnik is an ISO 9000: 2000 certified geosynthetic company that provides geosynthetic solutions to increase the safety and life span of mining structures. Geosynthetic construction applications include sealing, reinforcement, separation, drainage, filtration, protection, and erosion control. CARBOFOL® GEOMEMBRANES AND BENTOFIX® GEOSYNTHETIC CLAY LINERS AS BARRIERSWhen constructing heap leach pads, storage facilities, tailings, containment systems or mining landfills, Bentofix® geosynthetic clay liners (GCLs) and Carbofol® geomembranes can be effectively used as single or composite lining system. Bentofix® clay liners are self-sealing barriers with a composite structure that utilise the strength of millions of needle-punched fibres to secure the natural sodium bentonite sealing layer with high long-term shear strength. Once hydrated, Bentofix® is an effective barrier against liquids, vapours and gases. Carbofol® geomembranes are manufactured using high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and provide a complete seal against even the most toxic substances, protecting groundwater from contamination. SECUGRID® - GEOGRID REINFORCEMENT FOR ACCESS ROADSSecugrid® geogrids are reinforcing geosynthetic products manufactured from high tensile strength extruded monolithic flat polymer bars with high strength welded junctions. Secugrid® absorbs tensile forces induced into the soil and distributes the stresses through the high tensile strength bars. This means traffic loading is distributed over a larger base area, minimizing localised pressures on the subsoil. Engineering system solutions using Secugrid® or Combigrid® (a high strength product comprising a geogrid and non-woven geotextile) geogrids can save natural mineral resources by reducing base course thickness and pavements, reducing the need for large volumes of stabilizing soil fill (Contact NAUE for a design disk). As Secugrid® is easy to handle, large quantities can be installed quickly with minimal demand on labour resources and lower installation costs, during virtually all weather conditions without special construction techniques. SECUTEX® GEOTEXTILES FOR ACCESS ROADS AND GEOMEMBRANE PUNCTURE PROTECTIONSecutex® mechanically bonded polypropylene (PP) non-woven geotextiles are specially designed products for use in road construction as separation and filtration components. As a separation layer, Secutex® prevents individual and distinct granular layers from contaminating one another. Thus, structural fill and base courses maintain their integrity for a longer period of time than otherwise possible. Secutex® offers lower construction costs, lower follow-up costs and higher performance. They are robust products with high puncture resistance, high tensile strength and high elongation properties and are also best suitable as protection layers over geomembranes (Contact NAUE for design criteria). GEOSYNTHETICS FOR IMPROVED MINING CONSTRUCTIONSThe Naue Fasertechnik group of companies has decades of geosynthetics experience for all engineering applications. Our innovations and commitment to quality have made us a worldwide market leader in the development, production and application of geosynthetics.
