Verderflex® Dura Goes From Strength to Strength

The first 'bulk' order of Verderflex Dura pumps was recently shipped to Elands Platinum in South Africa, where the pumps will be used for reagent dosing.

In a local press article Daan Louw, sales manager at Verder Pumps, said: "The Dura's unique design is based on an innovative, long-coupled design with close coupled advantages that provides greater reliability and therefore lower maintenance costs." The rotor is mounted on a drive shaft, which is located on a dual bearing hub, and the design of the drive shaft dramatically reduces the loading pressures on the gearbox and motor. It is no wonder the pumps were selected for the Elandsfontein platinum project's concentrator, located on the south-eastern part of the Western Limb of the Bushveld Igneous complex.
PUMPS WITH LESS POWER CONSUMPTION AND LOWER RUNNING COSTS
Moreover, with a solid rotor design that requires no adjustment, the Verderflex Dura uses dramatically less power consumption than other pumps, and its energy rating of EF1 (<1.1kW) provides much lower capital running costs.
"With operational noise levels greatly reduced by nearly a quarter due to 'sealed for life' bearings which centrally absorb the forces released in the pump, Verderflex Dura also offers lower maintenance and a durable pump and drive.
