Wet Earth - Irrigation and Dust Suppression Solutions for the Mining Industry

Wet Earth is a specialist in supplying irrigation and dust suppression solutions to the international mining industry. We can supply an extensive range of off-the-shelf mining irrigation products and have the capacity to engineer custom fittings to meet specific customer requirements. Through working actively with our customers and suppliers we are able to provide site-specific solutions for irrigation and dust control projects.

STOCKPILE AND HAUL ROAD DUST SUPPRESSION

Wet Earth can provide a range of high volume sprinklers including Sime, Nelson, Komet and Rainbird and high flow control valves, which are ideal for stockpile dust suppression or stockpile based ore washing.

Wet Earth can provide fully automated dust suppression solutions for haul roads. Some of our recent projects have included a 15m haul road in Western Australia, a 25m haul road in Ghana and a 35m haul road in Eastern Australia.

UNDERGROUND MINE DUST SUPPRESSION

Additionally, Wet Earth provide a range of solutions for underground mine dust suppression from floor based impact sprinklers through to roof mounted Senninger Wobblers to dry fog ultrasonic misting nozzles. The Senninger Wobbler® has a unique off-center rotary-action. This design provides extremely uniform coverage over a large diameter at low pressures.

Wet Earth’s wastewater disposal solutions are very site specific to conform to site conditions and environmental requirements. Some recent wastewater projects have used high volume sprinklers, Senninger Wobblers and drip irrigation.

TAILING DAM EVAPORATION SOLUTIONS

Wet Earth works with clients to develop solutions to encourage the evaporation of water from tailing dams. These solutions take into account the evaporation requirements, dam configuration, climatic conditions and tailings water characteristics.

Wet Earth has worked with Sime Australia to develop a range of specialised sprinklers that can be used for washing down areas where it is dangerous or difficult to manually wash down. Customers are also using these solutions to save labour costs by removing the need to manually wash down areas.

SENNINGER MINING SPRINKLERS

Wet Earth can supply the full range of Senninger Mining sprinklers. The Senninger Copper-Mine-Special® line is especially designed for acid leaching copper ores, even at very high sulfuric acid concentrations. Senninger also manufacture products suited to the caustic solutions used for gold and silver mining.

All Senninger mining products are constructed using engineering-grade thermoplastic resins, which are specially formulated and selected for resistance to corrosion, abrasion, ultraviolet degradation, and the rugged conditions specific to solution mining. For example, our Copper-Mine-Specialline is especially designed for acid leaching copper ores, even at very high sulfuric acid concentrations.

We also manufacture products suited to the caustic solutions used for gold and silver mining. Other applications include dust suppression, excess solution evaporation, detox rinsing, and application of effluent solutions
