Stainless Valve Co. (SVC) is a specialty valve manufacturer that engineers valve products for specific applications. SVC is able to deliver valves to suit customer requirements that standard products are unable to meet. We have the capacity to produce relatively large sized valves, between 4in and 72in in diameter, applications for the valves include 150#, 600# 900# and 1500# service, ANSI, JIS and metric. Most of the valves we supply are automated, these include pneumatic, hydraulic or electric, but they are also available in manually operated versions.

SVC manufactures products in 300 series stainless steels, duplex stainless steels, Hastelloy, Inconel, titanium, carbon steel, or any other material available in a plate form.

STARGATE-O-PORT ISOLATION AND FILLING VALVES

SVC Stargate-O-Port valves can be used in a variety of applications where standard valves do not perform or cause operational problems. Stargate-O-Port valves are used as isolation valves on mixing pumps, filling valves on reactors, catalyst recycling reactors, autoclave applications, and many more.

Stargate-O-Port valves are best suited in applications where solid matter can be trapped in the seat area or the bottom of the valve, the process fluid is abrasive or corrosive, and where the process material can adhere to valve parts.

It is in situations such as these that the advantages of the Stargate-O-Port valves become apparent. Since the blade passes through the valve body at both ends, no material can get trapped between the blade and seat so that the valve always seats and seals well. Stargate-O-Port valves offer safe sealing and long service life, which keeps maintenance and replacement costs down.

STARGATE-O-PORT AS VALVE SCALE SOLUTION

When scale is formed on the moving elements of ball valves or gate valves the consequences can comprise of blocking of the valve movement, or other forms of damage to the valve seats and consequent leaking through the valves. The Stargate O-Port range of valves operation details are as follows,

• 8in 150# Stargate O-Port valve: a heavy-duty valve for abrasive, corrosive slurry applications in mining
• 10in 300# Stargate O-Port AS valve: an anti-scale valve for severe scale forming and sticky materials applications around autoclave equipment
• 24in 150# Stargate O-Port valve: a heavy-duty large valve for severe service applications, designed to be corrosion and abrasion resistant in the harsh mining environments

The design of the AS-Stargate-O-Port valve is the combination of coatings and seats in order to eliminate the negative aspects of scale formation or sticky flow media. We found the best coating to be used for low temperature applications to be the high-build coating, which creates a barrier between the blade and the flow media. For high temperature applications a nickel-based coating is generally used. Again, the desired property is a low coefficient of friction between the coating and the flow media.
