Conflow - Dust and Fire Suppression Equipment, Water Control and Monitoring Equipment for Surface and Underground Mining

Conflow is renowned as a leading supplier of specialist valves and monitoring equipment / systems for dust suppression, fire suppression and all aspects of water control in underground coal mining. Conflow's latest product is the Code 5050 electronic flow meter, designed for use in hazardous areas.

Conflow products can be used on both the surface and underground in all major mining applications, from coal to gold, in more than 30 countries round the world. Wherever minerals are moved in bulk (e.g. at quarries, power stations and steel works) Conflow products help to minimise the negative impact on the local environment.

DUST SUPPRESSION EQUIPMENT

Conflow manufactures a wide range of dust suppression equipment. Our spray control valves can be used in the automatic control of conveyor belt dust suppression, damping and quenching sprays. These spray control valves are powered by the movement of the conveyor, ensuring that an independent power supply is not required.

Our pendulum valves can be used in conjunction with elevators, conveyor wagons and other transportation to control dust suppression, damping or quenching sprays. The pendulum length can be adjusted.

We also produce sequencing control valves, pilot operated valves and beltline and drum sprays.

FIRE SUPPRESSION EQUIPMENT

Conflow's specialised fire suppression equipment can be used in both surface and underground mining applications.

Our underground fire fighting hydrant control valve features a pre-set adjustable valve opening, flanged or victaulic fittings (2 1/2in) auxiliary tappings for dust suppression and pressure measurement purposes.

We also supply weighted lever valves that can be used with the extended water fire barrier to control the flow of water to the sprays.

PRESSURE MEASUREMENT AND CONTROL EQUIPMENT

Conflow's reducing valves can be used in a wide range of water and oil system applications.

Our ratio reducers can be used to create a drop in pressure to a specified ratio. Conflow ratio reducers are inline fitting, suitable for water and oil, corrosion-resistant and are supplied with screwed, flanged or vertical fittings.

Conflow's wide range of pressure relief applications feature large pressure relief ranges, a reliable design and adjustable pressure relief settings.

We also supply pressure check valves for use in hydraulic systems that help to reduce the number of gauges needed.

ELECTRONIC FLOW METER

Conflow has just extended their range of flow meters with the Code 5050 electronic flow meter, designed for use in hazardous areas. It features a variable orifice transducer for measuring liquid volume flow rates that is compatible with a broad spectrum of data loggers, display devices, instruments and out stations. This piece of equipment provides flow rate, temperature and totalised flow and is available with a built in pressure transducer.

FLOW METER

The flow meter is used for metering volume flow rates in pipelines. It features in line mounting and is designed to be insensitive to attitude. A high pressure shock resistant unit, it maintains good viscosity stability and has a variable orifice design.

BY-PASS FLOW METER

The by-pass flow meter is used for monitoring large flow rates at high pressure. A small compact unit, it has a 10:1 turndown range and is supplied with BSP screwed, victaulic or super stekko connections.

EMULSION MIXER

The emulsion mixer generates an oil / water emulsion that can be used in machine hydraulics. The mixer delivers a mix proportional to water flow rate and consists of changeable oil pump drive gears that ensure the correct oil mix in different site environments.
