Manufacturing, rollforming and engineering operations

With state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities located in Melbourne, Australia, and a joint venture rollforming and engineering operation in Malaysia, Australian Rollforming has the capability to rollform sections in a wide-range of metals. These include stainless-steel, aluminium, mild steel, copper and all types of coated steels, and are available in thicknesses from 0.30mm to 10mm.

For the mining industry, Australian Rollforming manufactures an extensive range of standard and custom formed conveyor sections and sub-assemblies and other mining infrastructure components.

Conveyor sections and sub-assemblies

Made from pre-galvanised hi-tensile steel, Australian Rollforming conveyor sections combine high strength with low mass and are highly corrosion resistant.

Our conveyor sections and sub-assemblies are precision-made to exacting tolerances, and the consistency of components ensures ease of assembly while providing significant time and cost savings.

Rollforming conveyor sections

Australian Rollforming conveyor sections are rollformed from G450 hi-tensile steel with either a Z300 or Z450 galvanised coating. This combination of high-strength and low-mass results in significant economies in initial cost, fabrication, transport, handling and erection.

Being highly corrosion resistant also ensures a long life span and can eliminate the need for other costly protective treatments. The overall result is that Australian Rollforming conveyor sections are far more cost-effective than the traditional hot rolled sections.

The standard range consists of two main types - plain or C sections (LC) and lipped sections (CS). The CS sections incorporate a stiffened top flange for rigid mounting of the idlers and a plain-bottom flange to minimise retention of moisture and dirt. All sections are pre-punched to the required pitch spacing and are available in any length.

If you're using or designing metal sections for either structural or decorative applications, Australian Rollforming has the capability to produce to almost any specification, in thicknesses up to 10mm, with virtually no restriction on profile shape or on the type of metal from which it can be produced.

Austalian Rollforming can provide conversion of concept sketches or shop drawings to preliminary and finished designs and re-engineering of existing designs to obtain the most cost-effective outcome without jeopardising the integrity of the component.

Our in-house design capabilities enables the custom forming of either symmetrical or asymmetrical shapes to suit your specific requirements.

Australian Rollforming's innovative design and engineering services can handle the most demanding projects and stringent criteria. Our on-going rollforming, product, tooling and design R&D is carried out in conjunction with a number of academic and trade institutions, and we also provide a full fabrication and assembly service so that time consuming and costly on-site fabrication and assembly is minimised.
