Spotlight on Asia: Auralia directors Anthony Keers, Steve Lampron and Daniel Tuffin have been busy training the G-resources mining team in preparation for the upcoming commencement of production later this year of the Martabe Gold Project, located on the island of Sumatra in Indonesia.

The training to date has covered topics such as:

  • Gemcom Surpac software training
  • Drill and blast design training
  • Creation of blastmaster designs
  • Various approaches to drill and blast methodology
  • Pit design exercises and methodology
  • Quarterly plans software training and methodology
  • Gemcom Minesched life of mine long term scheduling
  • Short term mine production planning and training

Auralia looks forward to the planned continued training and tutelage with the team into the future.

The Auralia board also convened its first Marketing and Investment Summit in Bangkok, Thailand early in the year. The visit saw Auralia make many new business contacts through the use of a local specialist facilitator, Bangkok Executive Tours, including meetings with members of AustCham, the Australian Embassy in Thailand, and many other businesses including promotional, marketing and investment firms.

As always, Bangkok was a wonderful location, and given its current position in the area as the investment gateway into mining projects in neighbouring Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia, it is likely that Auralia will look to expand its business into the area in the future.
