Underground and surface mine planning, development and review
We have expertise in the planning, development and review of underground and surface mines worldwide. With experience in a variety of environments with many different mineral commodities, we have delivered successful results based on best mining practice and procedures.
Our skills are regularly used to optimise mine plans, leading to more profitable mine management. Our planning and analysis expertise can examine the performance of mining methods, systems and reporting structures to highlight the best possible mining procedures during a mine’s lifecycle.
Experienced mining consultants
Unlike some other consultancies, where your work gets handed down to junior employees once the contract is signed, the Auralia staff member that you deal with will have a minimum of five years’ real-world production mining experience and will be a technical expert in either open pit or underground mining. That’s because at Auralia we believe in providing consultants, not contractors.
Whittle optimisation services
Whittle software from Gemcom is used to determine and optimise the economics of open pit mining projects. Its unique capabilities enable us to analyse pit designs in the context of all physical, economic and mining constraints, allowing significant value to be added to operations.
Open cut / underground mine designs
Using the latest versions of widely used general mining packages (GMPs) and our background in mining production and engineering roles, we can provide timely and high-quality designs for your open cut and/or underground mine and general site layout.
Mine scheduling packages
Using either our in-house developed scheduling solution or commercially available scheduling packages (such as Minemax) we can produce detailed schedules for your open cut and/or underground mining project, along with blending and throughput for your milling operation.
Auralia can help ensure that your mine is still giving you maximum return by reviewing production data, drill and blast and grade control scheduling, tracking and improving production processes using KPIs and set targets and benchmarking and mining contract costs reviews.
On-site / off-site mine software training
Our consultants are skilled in a suite of mining software packages, including Whittle, Surpac, Datamine and Minemax. Auralia can tailor a specific training program or session suited to your needs, either for one person or a group booking. Auralia will attend to training your personnel on your mine site or in your corporate offices.
NI43-101 and JORC-compliant reserve statements
We have the relevant competencies and prior experience to perform and sign off reserve statements according to the Australian JORC Code, the South African SAMREC Code and Canadian Article Ni43-101.
Studies for mining projects
Regardless of the stage of your mining project or your budget, we can tailor a feasibility study to suit your needs. Starting from greenfield projects with little available data to high-level studies resulting in the release of a reserve, we can provide you with an idea as to the potential worth of your project and where to focus future efforts.
Mining project management services
All of our key personnel have undergone training in project management and are currently preparing to attain their PMP, a certification in project management. We provide mining dilution management, competent / certified person reports, and more.
