Voith offers fluid couplings and solutions for highly efficient and reliable drive system solutions for the mining industry and the handling of raw materials.
The hydrodynamic principle of a fluid coupling makes it easy to gently accelerate driven machines. At the same time, fluid couplings limit torque, provide load sharing, and dampen torsional vibrations.
The coupling protects the drive system from damage even under extreme operating conditions. This reduces down time and ensures a continuous production process.
Our product portfolio includes:
Our drive solutions are reliable and specifically tailored to each drive system - from individual couplings to complete driveline solutions.
The transmittable power ranges from 300W up to 6MW.
Our partnership with the mining industry is nearly as old as the turbo coupling itself. For over 50 years, Voith has been supplying couplings for a wide range of mining applications above ground and underground, especially for belt conveyors, armoured face conveyors and crushers.
The experience and the know-how gained by both partners have been and will always be the basis for further improvements of our couplings - we adapt our products continuously to the requirements of our customers. Close co-operation with international technical associations and our presence on numerous engineering committees provide our research activities with an additional impact.
Voith Turbo, the specialist for hydrodynamic drive, coupling and braking systems for road, rail and industrial applications, as well as for ship propulsion systems, is a group division of Voith GmbH.
Voith sets standards in the energy, oil and gas, paper, raw materials and transportation and automotive markets. Founded in 1867, Voith employs more than 42 000 people, generates €5.7bn in sales, operates in over 50 countries around the world and is today one of the biggest family-owned companies in Europe.
