Who are we? People all over the world can answer this question. Wherever machines are started and moved, wherever power needs to be transmitted under extreme conditions, wherever a maximum of reliability is required – that’s where we are at home. Within the Voith Group of Companies we are the experts who have the solution for your problems in the field of industrial power transmission – backed by the experience of over half a century. WHAT DO WE MANUFACTURE?Our products:
have evolved from an innovation of the engineering genius Professor Hermann Foettinger (1877-1945). The principle of hydrodynamic power transmission is based on the interaction between a pump and a turbine. In a turbo coupling, this principle is realised by means of two bladed wheels. Together with a surrounding shell, these create a working chamber in which fluid circulates. The actual transmission of power occurs without any wear, the transmitting components do not touch each other. The only parts subject to natural wear are components such as bearings and seals. THE MINING INDUSTRY - OUR PARTNER!Our partnership with the mining industry is nearly as old as the turbo coupling itself. For over 50 years, Voith Turbo has been supplying couplings for a wide range of mining applications, especially for belt conveyors and armoured face conveyors. The experience and the know-how gained by both partners has been and will always be the basis for further improvements of our couplings - we adapt our products continuously to the requirements of our customers. Close co-operation with international technical associations and our presence on numerous engineering committees provide our research activities with an additional impact. DRIVE SOLUTIONS!Voith turbo couplings can be found everywhere in the world – above ground and in underground mines – in the drives of:
