Autolectron - Engine Monitors for Diesel Powered EquipmentAutolectron is a leader in the field of engine and vehicle monitoring. Autolectron's engine monitors are designed for universal application to most diesel, petroleum or LP gas engines. Autolectron offers it's AMS range of engine monitors as a scalable solution for almost all engines in almost all types of industries, including but not limited to; mining, transport and material handling. The AMS engine monitors may be used as part of the Vehcomm vehicle monitoring systems. These vehicle monitoring systems allow the end user to remotely monitor vehicles via wireless links. The company has been manufacturing and installing these monitors for many years and in a variety of environments. The company designs, manufactures, installs and maintains its range of engine monitors with a dedicated compliment of engineers and field service personnel. The company does continuous research and development to keep pace with the latest engine technologies and customer requirements. In fact Autolectron staff and management have a proud history of providing solutions for challenging problems and then providing a reliable after sales service. AMS ENGINE MONITORSToday's diesel engines are designed to achieve high-power and torque output and run for extended periods at maximum power. Today's diesel engines are also very expensive and downtime could cost even more with production machines. Thus good, effective engine monitoring is a necessity. To achieve the desired results the unit must be installed correctly and be set for optimum performance, providing protection across the entire rpm range. Autolectron has the expertise to supply a solution. All the monitors are supplied with windows based software for easy set-up and downloading. AMS 50 SMALL ENGINE MONITORSmall, cost effective engine monitor solution with four input channels, rpm, engine speed limit, idle limit, engine hours and more. This unit is ideal for smaller engines found on forklifts, pumps, light trucks and generators. AMS 200 MEDIUM ENGINE MONITORING SYSTEMA Cost effective engine monitor solution with five input channels, rpm, engine speed limit, engine hours, driver ID and more. This unit is ideal for small and medium engines as found on forklifts, pumps, small trucks. AMS 2000 LARGE ENGINE MONITOR SYSTEMSA nine input channel engine monitor, RS 232 communication for PC interface. Storage for 600 events and ten engine parameter graphs, idle time limit, service hour notification, engine run hours, driver ID and more. This unit is primarily used with larger diesel engines. The AMS engine monitors are designed to interface to various other on-board computers via their serial interfaces. Autolectron adds support to third party users wishing to interface to the AMS units. VEHCOMM VEHICLE MONITORING PLATFORMSThe Vehcomm vehicle monitoring platforms from Autolectron basically consist of the hardware enabling remote communications between vehicles and a server platform. There are three basic units and currently two wireless technologies implemented (GSM or WLAN). Vehcomm I - this platform allows a wireless interface between the AMS2000 and server only, no operator interaction is possible. The Vehcomm I platform may optionally have GPS or tag positioning. Vehcomm II - this platform is similar to Vehcomm I but adds an operator interface and optional additional inputs (eg. road-speed). The GPS positioning is optional. Operator interface includes pre-start checks and basic two way messaging. Vehcomm III - this platform is PC-based and allows for a panel-PC mounted in the operator cab giving the most flexible options. Typical functions are:
Autolectron has various other related products such as turbo timers, starter motor protectors, solid state warning lamps and intrinsically safe solutions for fiery mines. Autolectron is well known for providing solutions in the mining industry and has an excellent track record.
