Technical Industry Services (TIS) has nearly 30 years' experience in manufacturing and supply conveyor belt cleaning systems for the mining industry. TIS high-tech belt cleaning-systems include our innovative standard bar scraper with continuous scraping blade and our drum segment scraper. Other belt cleaning products include the parabolic scraper, return training roller and the trough training roller.

TIS was formed eight years ago, when our parent company Schulmeistrat Industrie Technik GmBH, based in Bottrop near Dusseldorf in Germany, conducted a market research project. They found that although about 15 scraper companies existed in South Africa many customers were not entirely happy with performance delivered by most scrapers. As a result Technical Industry Services was formed. Since 1999, TIS has been manufacturing and supplying scrapers to our our parent company and the world.

STANDARD BAR SCRAPER

The standard bar scraper is one of the most important scrapers on any belt cleaning system:

Advantages of the standard bar scraper:

• Can be used as a pre-scraper / secondary scraper
• Suitable on dry or wet materials
• Self-adjusting through torsion elements
• Solid blade (no segments)
• Blade exchangeable (ceramic. hard metal, PU)
• Suitable for conveyors where belts of different thicknesses have been joined together
• Low on maintenance
• No moving parts except for the torsion elements
• Easier handling with telescopics

PARABOLIC SCRAPER

Advantages of parabolic scrapers:

• Belt friendly due to its solid parabolic blade
• Suitable on all materials
• Self adjusting through torsion elements
• Blade exchangeable (ceramic, hard metal, PU)
• Suitable for conveyors where belts of different thicknesses have been joined together
• Low on maintenance
• No moving parts except for the torsion elements
• Easier handling with telescopics
• Due to the design of the scraper the blade can be adjusted to clear more of the worn area of the belt, e.g. centre section

DRUM SCRAPER

Advantages of drum scraper:

• Primary scraper
• Suitable for sticky materials
• Self adjusting through torsion elements
• Segments, can be individually adjusted to fit profile of drum
• Suitable for conveyors where belts of different thicknesses have been joined together
• Low on maintenance
• Safety bar to prevent damage to the belt

RETURN TRAINING ROLLER

Return training roller will keep your belt exactly in the middle of the tail pulley. It works on a middle pivot-point and tilts 45° for faster tracking-reaction. The roller is fitted approximately 7m before the tail pulley. The roller is also suitable for reversible belts. All parts on the trainer are replaceable.

TROUGH TRAINING ROLLER

The trough training roller keeps the top belt in the centre of the construction. Both sides are adjustable to the troughing angle. The middle pivot-point is fitted with a roller-bearing for smooth operation.
