MINET

MINET - Belt Splicing Equipment

As the inventor of the world's first belt fasteners with a hinge, MINET has been producing conveyor belt fasteners for the agricultural and the mining industries for more than 60 years. Originally a supplier of fasteners to coal mines, MINET has developed itself to an international group, which offers a full range of products in the field of vulcanizing and belt jointing technology, including:

  • Conveyor belt fasteners and flexible lacing
  • Hot vulcanized coating of metal pieces
  • Vulcanizing presses
  • Tools and accessories for vulcanizers
  • Spliceless endless belts

Innovative flexible rubber lacing

The MINET – MLT range includes innovative, and patented products meeting the hardest and most restrictive conditions of use in the mining industry and includes SUPER-SCREW flexible rubber lacing, RV 6, G 2002/2003 with new user friendly pneumatic tool, MS and TITAN to name just a few.

The SUPER SCREW flexible lacing range is unique and is used on steel-cord belt, solid woven PVC belt, and EP belts. SUPER-SCREW allows customers to join a new belt to an old one and can be used to repair longitudinal tearing, or as a patch on holes. SUPER-SCREW is supplied in different qualities:

  • Abrasion resistant
  • Heat resistant or heat retardant
  • FRAS, MSHA
  • Oil resistant

SUPER-SCREW can be installed under any weather conditions and is leak proof and flexible (torsion in every direction). The range is used in underground or open cast coal mines, in iron ore and bauxite mines, as well as in steel plants worldwide.

No pre-drilling or special, costly, heavy tools are required. Only a battery or air operated screw driver is needed. 1m of belt width can be safely installed within one hour using a simple splice and tools that are easy to carry to the splice site.

The belt is cut in bias for a smooth splice transition on rollers and scrappers. It is easy to skive the belt with the help of our skiving tool. When SUPER-SCREW is screwed in place, simply perform a last check that all screws are well tightened and the belt is ready to run.

MS lacing

MS lacing allows a quick repair without need of great physical strength. In addition, it is economical and does not require specific and costly installation tools, nor highly skilled operators.

This lacing can be installed with the hinge connected, as it's simply fit with screws like the SUPER-SCREW, and like the SUPER-SCREW, the use of screws allows a very firm grip on the belt ends.

TITAN and GORO mining fasteners

Since MINET bought the GORO company in France, it has offered these popular ranges of mining fasteners. A new air-powered hammer tool has drastically improved the conditions of installation of Goro G2002 and G 2003 lacings in chapter TITAN and GORO.

Waterbag presses

MINET waterbag presses are widely recognized for their modularity, light weight and high pressure (up to 15 bar on request for steel cord belts). MINET waterbag presses are also compact making it easy to carry the different components.

Reports on proven applications of our products in coal, copper and bauxite mines are available through the MINET - MLT worldwide network of distributors and partners, or through MINET branches in Europe, North America or Australia.

Worldwide distribution

All of our equipment is manufactured in two modern plants in Europe. Together with five subsidiaries the products are sold worldwide in more than 90 countries under the brand names MINET, MLT and GORO.

The company's product range is leading the technical development and innovation in the field and is helping customers to increase the productivity and efficiency of modern belt conveyors. Please see our website below for further information.
