Belt conveyors

IEM designs and manufactures standardized belt conveyors and systems, which can be customized to suit customer requirements. Conveyors meet or exceed CEMA design parameters with specific operating conditions being reflected in the design. IEM’s range of conveyor styles includes:

• Open truss
• Stringer
• Stringer table
• Rectangular truss gallery with or without cladding

High-lift conveyors

IEM’s high-lift conveyors are designed to suit specific requirements in terms of the material conveyed, capacity and arrangement. The most common high-lift conveyor shapes are:

• Straight incline
• "L" shape
• "S" shape

High-lift conveyor belting

IEM’s high-lift conveyor belting consists of two corrugated sidewalls bonded to a cross-rigid base belt. Cleats are hot molded to the base belt between the sidewalls for steep angle material handling. Material can be conveyed at angles up to 90° in minimum horizontal distances. Sidewalls are available up to 16in in height.

High-angle conveyors

IEM’s high-angle conveyors are supplied with head and tail assemblies, C/W pulleys and necessary truss, depending on the application. IEM can also provide:

• Deflection wheels
• Flat return rollers
• Stub return idler
• Belt feeders for loading high-angle conveyors
• Loading/discharge chutes, if required

Chain conveyors

IEM designs and manufactures a complete range of design-specific chain conveyors for mining plants, including:

• Reclaim conveyors
• Drag type
• Flat pan
• Multi-strand stainless-steel chain high temperature and corrosive environments
• Tubular style
• Log pond submersible

Screw conveyors

IEM’s screw conveyors are designed to suit specific customer requirements. Standard component parts are selected to provide the correct screw conveyor sizing and configuration. IEM also supplies horizontal, inclined and vertical units, as well as live bottom and reclaim screw feeders.

Bucket elevators

IEM designs bucket elevators for specific applications in mining, aggregate, lime, cement, grain and ship handling. High temperature product applications can be handled by special chain or belting. IEM’s range of bucket elevators includes:

• Centrifugal discharge bucket elevators for fine or medium-size free flowing materials with spaced buckets on belts
• Continuous bucket elevators for gentle handling of coarse and abrasive materials with close spaced buckets mounted on elevator chain
• Enclosures in steel, aluminum or stainless steel

IEM’s bucket elevators can be supplied with discharge chutes, infeed hopper / chutes and a supporting structure.

Heavy-duty apron feeders

IEM designs and manufactures heavy-duty apron pan feeders for use in mining and other arduous applications. Apron feeders are designed to suit specific applications using IEM standardized design.

IEM’s heavy-duty apron pan feeders are reliable and easy to maintain, and have the following features:

• Heavy-duty steel frame
• Up to 120in (3,048mm) wide apron pans
• Cast manganese pans are standard; special welded steel pans are available
• Chain size D4 to D10 equipment track chain
• Reversible segmental steel sprockets with hardened teeth
• Chain support rollers are heavy equipment track rollers
• Carry rollers can be changed without need to raise chain
• Head and tailshaft split pillow block housings with double row spherical bearings
• Variable speed drives, hydraulic or VFD with speed reducer
• Hopper, spile bars, discharge chute and dribble conveyors are available

Belt feeders

IEM designs and manufactures heavy-duty belt feeders for use in mining applications. Belt feeders are designed to suit specific requirements using standardized components. IEM’s belt feeders have the following features:

• Heavy-duty steel frames
• Up to 108in (2,740mm) wide belts
• VFD drive with speed reducers or Hagglunds shaft-mounted hydraulic drive
• Head shaft has pillow blocks with split housings
• Tail shaft bearings, adapter sleeves, and Taconite seals mounted in IEM hydraulic take-ups
• Double-row spherical roller bearings
• Hydraulic take-up assist with manual (or powered) power unit
• Primary belt cleaner and V-plow standard
• Engineered class head and tail pulleys
• Hourglass belt roller side guides
• Pullcord switches both sides
