Founded in 1975, Hosch is an expert in the development, production and sales of highly efficient conveyor belt cleaning systems which reduce costs for operators and considerably increase efficiency at plants.
Hosch invests highly in its personnel and equipment and has vast experience within the mining industry. This has been achieved through co-operation with leading institutes in bulk material handling and their own research and evidence.
Conveyor belt systems used to transport extremely sticky, muddy or difficult material presents a big challenge for belt cleaning equipment.
For these special operating conditions, Hosch has developed the head pulley scraper type HD which protects the customers conveyor belt systems and significantly alleviates the operation.
The system is an extremely robust scraper system that is installed at the 3 o'clock position on the pulley. It is suitable for the most difficult bulk material, can be used on belts with mechanical splices and has tungsten carbide tipped cleaning blades which provide efficient cleaning and a very long life.
The systems can be installed easily on any kind of discharge or head pulley and no further adjustments are required until the blades are worn, making the system almost maintenance free.
Hosch also strongly invest in research and development. At their headquarters, a team of eight is permanently busy with innovations. Using the latest simulation and calculation methods the engineers develop new products and seek to continuously improve the existing technology.
In the Hosch-owned experimental laboratory they use two conveyor belt systems for testing innovations for the subsequent field trial, exposing them to the severest conditions. A high-speed camera of the latest generation helps to analyse in detail the complex relationships between scraper and conveyor belt so as to finally optimise the systems.
HOSCH also offers secondary and tertiary scraper systems such as the B series and C series. Other products available include inner belt scrapers (V.Ploughs), belt tracking systems and skirt sealing systems.
Sometimes the use of additional accessories is necessary, or at least recommended, such as disengaging devices, heating systems and water-spraying systems.
Hosch offer reversible solutions with electric pneumatic and hydraulic disengaging devices if a scraper with the paint scraper principle will be installed on a reversibe belt.
Hosch's work is only completed once their scrapers are in perfect working order. They install their products on site and adapt them to the clients conditions according to Hosch's installation and operating instructions.
Hosch pride themselves on their commitment to ensure that every sevice and installation of their equipment is carried out in a professional manner and of the highest standards.
Hosch will compile a comprehensive maintenance statistics plan for all plants in which Hosch products are in operation. The data documenting service and the replacement of spare parts allows them to plan their production and therefore enable Hosch to assist their clients in optimising their spare parts management.
Hosch is always prepared to plan the installation of their products on site. With the help of CAD drawings they adapt the scrapers to meet the clients requirements. They are also happy to advise the client on the inspection frequency best suited for their conveyor belt system.
