Far-Pul® HD™ Conveyor-Belt Clamps from Flexco offer Lighter, Width-Adjustable, Self-Tightening Design

Heavy-duty conveyor-belt clamps from Flexco speed and simplify the job of drawing belt ends together for mechanical splice installation. Far-Pul® HD™ Belt Clamps feature a lighter weight mechanism that slide-adjusts to suit belt width, and grips the belt with a self-tightening action that eliminates the need for time-consuming screw-down clamping devices and tools. They are intended for use with two 1.5-ton chain come-alongs, providing a 3-ton load capacity.
Seven clamp-bar lengths are available to accommodate belt widths of 30" (750mm), 36" (915mm), 42" (1050mm), 48" (1200mm), 54" (1350mm), 60" (1500mm) and 72" (1800mm). All clamp bars are made of high-strength aluminum for light weight, extruded into a hollow, thick-walled "D" shape and heat-treated for maximum strength. Their flat side is surfaced with anti-slip grooves, and fitted with interlocking pins that keep both bars paired in correct alignment during set-up on the belt.
Two clamp bars are positioned with flat sides against the belt, one above and one below. Their rounded outer sides nest within c-shaped "scissors" brackets that wrap around the two-bar assembly to prevent clamp-bar rotation. These brackets slide snugly against the belt edges, and self-adjust for belt thicknesses up to 1" (25mm). Clamping pressure increases proportionately as the chain-draw tension increases, due to the scissor-action bracket design. Because the majority of the links are made of cast aluminum, the scissors devices will not corrode, assuring that they will will not "seize up".
Clamp brackets are made of cast aluminum as well, contributing to the unit's corrosion resistance and overall light weight of approximately one-third less than steel clamp brackets.
The Flexco name is cast into the brackets for permanent identification as part of the clamp set, and the clamp bars have large, durable reflective labels for matching identification and easy location in dark underground worksites.
A complete set of Far-Pul HD Belt Clamps includes four clamp bars, four clamp brackets and a carry bag. Come-alongs, typically already available at conveyor sites, are not included.
