Flexco Underground Mining Brochure Details Latest Conveyor Belt Splicing Systems

A 16-page color brochure from Flexco provides full specifying information on improved conveyor-belt fasteners and time-saving tools for underground mining.
The brochure highlights the Flexco® SR™ Scalloped Edge™ fastener system for rubber plied and PVC solid-woven belting. Its patented design offers better compression into the belt cover for a lower profile that helps minimize wear on belt-cleaner blades, skirt rubbers and return idlers. A special viewport in each fastener segment lets the installer see that the fasteners are properly butted to the belt-end for proper splice alignment. Self-setting five-rivet attachment in a staggered pattern provides maximum resistance to pullout, even on older worn belts unfit for vulcanizing.
Five sizes of Scalloped Edge fasteners are detailed, with a selection guide to help users specify the proper fastener size and metal, offered in plated steel, Stainless 300-Series for resistance to abrasion and corrosion, and RustAlloy®, a low-chrome stainless steel alloy formulated to resist corrosion from acidic mine water and other chemicals.
