Flexco® Rapid Loader™ Rivet Assemblies Speed Conveyor-Belt Splicing, Reduce Tooling Needs

The Flexco® Rapid Loader™ system allows faster, easier installation of Flexco SR™ Scalloped-Edge™ rivet-hinged conveyor-belt fasteners by holding five rivets collated in proper configuration for quick loading into SR multiple guide-block tooling.
Each Rapid Loader assembly comprises interlocking plastic halves that hold five rivets captive during shipping and on-site handling. With moderate one-hand thumb-and-finger pressure, the halves separate and release the rivets into the guide block, reducing handling efforts and assuring consistent rivet-size selection.
Users simply position Rapid Loader assemblies over standard SR guide-block tooling, snap apart the plastic halves and allow the rivets to fall into corresponding guide-block holes. With blocks pre-loaded, users hammer-drive five rivets at a time across the belt's width. The patented self-setting rivets feature breakaway pilot nails that penetrate the belt without damaging or weakening its carcass and allow complete installation from the belt's top side.
Steel and stainless steel Rapid Loader assemblies are available in 240-count boxes -- enough rivets to complete more than four 48-inch (1200 mm) joints -- for all sizes of Flexco SR fastener systems. SR rivet hinged fasteners create uniform, tightly compressed splices in belts between 7 /32 -inch and 11 /16 -inch (6-17 mm) thick with mechanical fastener ratings up to 800 pounds per inch (140 kN/m) of width.
