A mine called Henderson in Colorado/USA: ContiTech supplied and installed over 50 kilometres of belt, all provided with the ContiTronic transponder technology, which reports automatically any operational faults. The belts are able to reduce the required power by approx. 8 %. This not only saves energy costs, but also conserves resources.
