New heavy forklift truck models from Linde with a lifting capacity range from 10t to 18t. Linde has a pedigree of designing high performance, durable forklift trucks for even the most demanding conditions. Linde's three-step solution to enhanced operating comfort features the Linde Load Control system, dual pedal drive and an ergonomically shaped steering wheel. All of which have been developed with the operator in mind: increased productivity through ease of control, reduced stress, safety in operation and service accessibility.

The new 10t - 18t forklift truck range consists of ten models. With load centres of 600mm or 1,200mm to suit a wide range of industrial applications, the range incorporates a number of key fea-tures: improved service access, an additional model variant (H100 with 10t of lifting capacity and a load centre of 1,200mm), a larger integrated CAN-based operator display (including load weight, fuel consumption, fuel tank level and operating status), roller-mounted forks and universal fork carriers as well as optional step-lighting.

Series production improvements have also been made, these include longer standard forks (for 600mm load centre trucks), additional chassis-mounted mirrors, mud flaps, sliding windows, an adjustable steering column and a 12V socket in the driver's cabin. The fuel tank capacity has also been increased by greater than 60% to optimise extended working hours.

An important development goal of the new series was to incorporate a modular design for the chassis and framework thereby simplifying access to service components. The main cooling package is located to the rear of the forklift above the counterweight. Air drawn through ventila-tion slots on either side of the truck is passed over the engine, pulled through the cooling package and dispelled away from the engine bay and driving position. The counterweight's modular design enables flexible product configuration so that the required residual lifting capacity can be achieved when adding ancillary lifting equipment.

The driver's cabin can be hydraulically tilted to the side allowing access to the engine and hydro-static drive system for servicing. More frequently used service components such as engine oil, fuel and air filters, washer fluid container, batteries, fuses and CANbus plugs are accessible via a centralised service bay.

The overall height of the driver's cabin has also been increased by 100 mm to improve visibility around the machine and facilitate easier ground-level service access. Driver access to the cabin is made easier through modifications to the step height and tread depth of the new look punched-profile tread plates. The introduction of optional step-lighting with external and internal cabin switch provides additional visibility in low-light conditions.
