Rugged cranes for coke pits

Konecranes' cranes are purpose-built to deal with the rugged environmental conditions encountered over a coke pit. This includes protection against penetration of coke dust, which is abrasive to mechanical components and can be harmful to electrical systems.

Vapours generated over the hot coke also contain many corrosive elements. Our coker cranes are equipped with chemical filters to protect both the crane operator and the electrical controls.
