CARL BECHEM has been the lubrication specialist since 1834, when the oldest German lubricant manufacturer started his business in Hagen, Germany. LUBRICANTS FOR OPEN CAST MINING

The machines and systems in open cast mines are not only exposed to very high loads but also to very severe environmental conditions like dust, moisture and strong temperature differences.

Draglines, excavators, shovels and crushers are extremely expensive and hard to replace. Therefore the lubricants used have to ensure the high reliability of the machines.

WATER-MISCIBLE, NON-FLAMMABLE HYDRAULIC FLUIDS FOR LUBRICATION IN DEEP MINING

Deep Mining always means extreme requirements to all different kinds of lubricants.

Typical examples are the highly developed water-miscible, non-flammable hydraulic fluids, type HFA.

Based upon the long-term experiences with fully synthetic products of the BECHEM-Starlit series (type HFA-S) within the steel-industry, where non-flammable water-hydraulic-systems are needed for the balance of electrodes within steel-smelters, the range of HFA-E emulsion types was then developed to serve the German mining industry.

The top-product HFA P 87 AF turned out to offer many benefits in practical use:

• Excellent corrosion protection even in Z-water
• Memory-effect of mineral-oil based additives on active and passive parts which helps to withstand times of down-concentration
• Biodegradability >80%
• Extreme hard-water stability

70% of the German mining industry, White Russia, Ukraine, Kasachstan and Turkey are using this quality to assure trouble-free longwall mining. Service products such as cleaners, cylinder protecters, etc. are available too.

BIODEGRADABLE LUBRICANTS

CARL BECHEM offers a large variety of environmentally acceptable lubricants, which help to protect production areas against the impact from spillage, leakage and losses.

HEAVY DUTY GREASES
