Self Leveling Machines (SLM), a unique global on-site machining services company, specializes in machining large circular and irregular-shaped surfaces on structural components. With portable on-site machining equipment located in many locations around the world, we can cover all international mining on-site machining service requirements from our six global bases.

Draglines

We can supply a range of draglines, including rack and rail paths, machinery deck X/Y mills, and swing, propel and boom bores.

Rack and rail paths

SLM machines rack and rail paths using a laser-controlled circular self leveling machine (XL-CSLM). There is no rail setting.

Machinery deck X/Y mills for set pads

SLM has a range of large X/Y mills capable of spanning hoist or drag, propel, and MG set pads, etc. in a single set-up.

Swing, propel and boom bores

SLM has a range of 4in and 8in diameter boring bars to carry out this work.

Shovels, stacker re-claimers and dredgers

Our services for shovels, stacker re-claimers and dredgers includes slew bearing faces, car body sideframes, and drilling and spot facing.

Slew bearing faces

SLM machines the slew face of both car body and RF using a circular self leveling machine (CSLM).

Car body sideframes

Using an X/Y mill and a scanning laser we machine the frames to a true plane both horizontally and vertically.

Drilling and spot facing

Drilling and spot facing is carried out hydraulically off the CSLM, which adds to the precision and time saving.

Gyratory crushers

Using a CSLM we machine the angled faces using a tilted head.

Ball and SAG crushers

We provide mill end-faces using a vertical CSLM (V-CSLM). Laser alignment is used to ensure end-flange parallelism. Matching joints on journal ends are machined using a CSLM, and alignment is also provided.

Laser surveying and alignment trackers

Laser trackers are used to support our equipment set-up and final surveys where required at our US, Singapore and Indian bases.

Scanning surveying and alignment lasers

All SLM bases have a range of scanning lasers for pre and post-machining surveys. SLM will provide a report prior to machining any surface, as well as a written survey report of the post-machined results of all projects.
